.Well it's like this,,I was just blog surfing,,(AGAIN) instead, I should have been doing the flowers for my GFG quilt..when I just happened to come across another lovely blogger,Melanie at texasfreckles. who was doing a Hexagon Charm Quilt Piece - Along.
So..as you do.. I checked it out and before you could say..."you have got to be joking"..I was in...papers ready for the off ,and if it wasn't after midnight, and the fact that the Wimbledon Ladies final on..I would be cutting out too...
I will just tell you that according to the directions of the group I will be making 1 inch hexagons,(I am working on 3/4 inch at the moment so they will seem big to me).I will be making a throw rug and I will need to make 1173 hexagons...Please watch my progress.
Every hexagon has to be a different colour.I figure that as I work on my GFG I can cut an extra Hexie in each colour as I do it....Now didn't I tell you I had a problem...I have never mentioned my other WIP projects,,,,,shhh,,,that will be for another time !!
Talking of time,,think I had better go,,Take care all and in case I don't see you,,,Happy July 4th to all my American friends.
Hahaha, you don't think you are the first quilter ever with a cupboard full of WIP stuff?! Have lots of fun making you scrappy hexies quilt!
ReplyDeleteDear Kate, I have been looking for your emailadress but nowhere to be found. Can you please email me? Happy 4th of July for you, Daniƫlle

Kate, 3/4"? 1"? I can't imagine working with such tiny hexagons! Not for me gal! I like things big and simple. But you're doing a great job and I hope you get them all done one day and make a lovely quilt.
