Happy Birthday

Greeting everyone from a cold but Sunny Melbourne.

Yesterday,Saturday, was my Birthday. It was a lovely day, highlighted by the all the special cards gifts and messages that I received from my lovely family and friends. Many of them would have known that it was touched with a little sadness from the loss of someone very special to me early this year.It is to my darling Godmother that I dedicate this post...Auntie Peggy...one of life's angels.
It has been a very busy couple of days. The celebrations started for me on Friday at work when my friends there made the day really special for me.They gave me 2 new teddies for my collection ,a plant and a clock for my desk which shows the world times so I can keep an eye out for my friends all round this wonderful world.

Saturday was so hectic, punctuated by phone calls, text messages and very welcome visitors. In the afternoon,DD Michelle and I went to a local church hall to see a quilt exhibition called

This was certainly worth a visit and helped to ease the fact that this year I was unable to attend the big Craft and Quilt show in Melbourne which was on this weekend.

It was at this exhibition that had the privilege to meet and chat with a lovely lady named Jean who was busy decorating bags with Suffolk Puffs.

Jean went on to explain to me that the proceeds from the sales of these bags go to the Building Fund for St Johns Anglican Church,Cranbourne. This is a Heritage listed Church.Thank you Jean for giving me permission to share these photo's ..and all the best with the Church project.

Well I guess that's about all for this post..hope that you have all had a great weekend...See you in the week for One Flower Wednesday.

Until next time - Take care

Kate

  2. Just reading through your last posts. You certainally are a busy lady. How are you going with EQ7?

Love the pictures of your fur babies. They are beautiful.

Speaking of babies I have Master Z in bed with me as he could not settle..There fore I am attempting to type one handed as he is snuggled into my right side!! Plus I have the kitten between my feet snd 1 dog next to my foot...and I thought a QS bed would be big enough.

    Lotsa love
    J
