One Flower Wednesday

Hello again from a cold and wet Melbourne. Oh dear ! This does seem to be the standard opening to my posts these days...Boy it has been so cold...Mother Nature sure can't win, because in a few weeks time it will be hot and we will be grumbling about that too.!

How are you all? Have you had a good week? Did you manage to get all the stitching you wanted to do finished?
I have to apologise for my absence last week..I had a couple of computer hiccups which prevented me from posting. So my efforts today are really over 2 Wednesdays.
I would like to introduce you to Bailey...another member of my adopted bear family.I rescued him about 18 months ago...He is helping me out today to show you my 7 new flowers. He likes the red one as it matches his outfit....he is a nice little bear and has settled in well with the family...

Please Give Me a Name

Another new member of my bear family was rescued only this week from the Op Shop, along side this cute Box....OK I know..I just could not help myself....!!!! Not quite sure exactly what I am going to do with it but it wanted to come home with me...I have not got a name for my new artist bear,,,any suggestions please?

As well as doing my seven flowers ,this past week I have put my first white "Path" round one of my flowers...I think for the time that this takes I will have to try to do more than one a week...(Encouragement please!)
My Places of Interest

Today's place of interest is Port Isaac in Cornwall. Many of you will know it as the "home " of
Doc Martin...from the TV series of that name. This was a beautiful place to visit and for me holds many happy memories...If you would like to learn more about Port Isaac the link will help you.
This just about completes my post for this Wednesday
Until next time
Take care
Kate

  2. I haven't started putting a path around any of my hexies yet --I know I have to do it eventually, but I'm stalling.
For your artist bear, maybe Pablo (as in Picasso) -- or Beret (with that cute little French hat).

I tried replying to your sweet, heartfelt comment to my last post, but you're set for "no reply" so I couldn't. I appreciate the hugs across cyberspace I've received.

  3. Your flowers are lovely :-)

You are looking for a name for the bear ? I´d call him Pablo because he reminds me of Pablo Picasso :-)

  4. Hi kate,

Making hexagons, blogging and working - wonderwoman!

We love Doc Martin too. The recent series ended all too quickly.

Love your idea of One Flower Wednesday - I need inspiration - we're decorating, so not much quilting being done.

    Keep up the good work.
