Neglected but still loved

I thought today I would share with you one of my WIP projects that has been sadly neglected of late...it is my first attempt at applique. I was quite happy to sit there and stitch this for hours and hours....That is until I discovered how quickly results can be seen with the use of the sewing machine.and of course my Hexi Flowers

There is still heaps of work to be done on this...but I guess that in between other projects, small amounts will be done..

This is the centre block of a quilt, found in Australian Patchwork and Quilting Magazine Vol 8 No 4 and No 5 called

Memories of Crowthorne by Tita Leach

I promised to show my blogging friend, Sunny, my mini Yo Yo's ( or Suffolk Punches)..Sunny is making a Yo Yo Quilt..It is going to be lovely.

I have completed the 4 rounds of "The Family"....details yet to be added.

Hopefully they will take on more friendly personalities when they have faces and hair...!!!!

Hope everyone is Well and Happy.
Until next time...Take Care
Happy Stitching
Kate xx

  1. Kate, your mini hexies on the trees are great! And I just love your family. I'm just starting to applique, and I love seeing what others have done. Keep up the great work!
