One Flower Wednesday

Greetings from a very warm and Sunny Melbourne. What a week it has been.!!! First the devastating floods in Queensland and now to have them here in Victoria. The weather is sure showing us who is Boss !!!! To all of our fellow Australians caught up in this disaster our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you.

This week I managed only 2 Hexie flowers for my garden. I am a member of "One Flower Wednesday", kindly hosted by Karen at Journey Of A Quilter. Please pop along and enjoy browsing the gardens of our fellow members..There are some very talented "gardeners"out there.
I am showing my 2 flowers here surrounded by the ceramic coasters my Granddaughter gave me for Christmas..I love Butterflies and she knew that I would like these..
I have been busy doing other things though. Apart from starting back to work this week after the Christmas holiday, I have started to join my flowers together, but with a change of plan. I decided to leave the white pathway out of mine. I know that it is not traditional, but believe ,that this way, the quilt will get "loved and used "a lot more.
I have also been working on my QAYG...almost finished and a picture will be posted before too long.

While I have been stitching my Hexies I have been listening to an audio book.
Blood Brothers by Josephine Cox. I really love her books.I am half way through and I am engrossed in the story line.
I do hope that you have all had a great week and that wherever you are , you are well and happy. Please take care.
Until next time
Kate x

  6. Hi ate. Your hexies are looking great stitched together like that, without the pathway. I always like to have something going on in the background when I am stitching too.

  8. Yummy blooms!! It's nice to have some rainy days every once in awhile, but not flood! Hope things there are calming down and no more damage to the beautiful country. I've been Sydney few times while I was a flight attendant years ago.
