Happy New Year

  • Happy New Year Everyone.
  • I do hope that you all had a fabulous Christmas and from Our Home to Your Home we send to you the very best of good wishes for 2011.May it be a year of good health and happiness for you all. With these two things we are already rich..

There was not been much sewing activity done in my house between my last post and Christmas.. Just could not seem to squeeze anymore into a day than I was doing already.
Again I promise myself, that next (ooops THIS ) year I will be more organised...(time will tell ) ..

I have a few things to share with you this post..Santa was very good to me this year..and amongst some of the lovely gifts from my family and friends.. I found .........

I have just finished reading the first three books in the Elm Tree Quilt Series- "The Quilter's Apprentice", "Round Robin" and "The Cross Country Quilters" by Jennifer Chiaverini..loved them, so was so thrilled to get...

"The Runaway Quilt" and "The Master Quilter"

Jennifer Chiaverini

Another special book that arrived was A Trilogy.

"When the Heart Cries"
"When the Morning Comes"
"When the Soul Mends"

"Sisters of the Quilt" by Cindy Woodsmall

When I have the time I have two smaller projects to inspire me.

Granma's Hexagons (Pin Cushion) design by Magic Patch Quilting
and
Corey and Jessy Teddy(Stitchery) design by Libby Richardson

and while I play with these two little beauties I can listen to a new audio book.."Dear John" by Nicholas Sparks...(the Author of "The Notebook"

I would like to introduce you to 4 new Teddies that came to live at my house over Christmas...(with many thanks to my friends at work )..They have settled in well with my Teddy Family although i have heard a few complaints that their home is getting kind of crowded....but a dear friend of ours,Bill, kindly made me a beautiful shelf for Christmas to help out with the overcrowding problem...Thanks again Bill..xx

Now to my Work in Progress.

Before Christmas I started a new quilt..

It is called "Fancy Free" and is a Quilt As You Go
