My Very First Post - Here Goes !

Hi Everyone. A warm welcome to "Kate's Kreation", my very own little piece of this wonderful world they call the Web.

Today is a pretty special day for me

Here I am working on my very first post and having absolutely no idea what I am going to write about.There is this blank paper in front of me which, at this very moment in time, is a mirror image of my mind.

"Kate's Kreation" I hear you say...”This girl cannot spell”. OK...just humour me...the initials of KK were mine in my early years, not now that I am a Baby Boomer. But I do have a soft spot for those initials...

Do you know, I really have no idea what I am doing here, or where it is going to take me, but I have recently become more involved with my patchwork addiction and have seen lots of lovely people with blogs which enables them to "Show and Tell"...so in preparation for the day WHEN I have something to Show,,, here goes. Please be patient with me. I am sure to make mistakes.
OK...yes ,today is my Granddaughter's'17th Birthday.Happy Birthday Nicole.(Nicole will not be reading this until sometime later,,,she is out partying with her friends).Hope they have a great time.17 years eh? where have they gone? It only seems like yesterday that i had the privilege of being with her when she entered this world.

Today too,is one of the two days of the week that i go to work.I work in a local Opportunity Shop (Op Shop).My overseas friends may know it has a Thrift Shop or Charity Shop.This is a great place to grab that special bargain or to find that collectible item that you have been looking for.





I have been adopting Teddy Bears since i have been working at the shop,much to the dismay of John.who just rolls his eyes as each one is brought home...and wonders where on earth this one is going to live?
The Plaque that i have here was made by a lady in a demonstration workshop at the Coal Creek Community Park and Museum at KORUMBURRA VIC.

I thought that I may give you a little peek at some of my teddies.This is just a few of them..maybe i will introduce some more at another time,,,(I don't want to bore you)

Well I guess that about rounds up my first attempt on this blog.
